The Pen y Pass mountain pass in Snowdonia National Park
Pen y Pass sits at the highest point of the A4086 in North Wales, at the head of the Llanberis Pass where the road crests before dropping down towards Nant Gwynant. It's the main starting point for the two most popular routes up Snowdon — the Pyg Track and the Miners' Track — and on a clear day the views from the pass stretch across some of the most dramatic mountain terrain in Wales.
