London City Print of the Shard against the Thames
The Shard stands on the south bank of the Thames at London Bridge, rising 310 metres above the city in a tapering glass form that has redefined the London skyline since its completion in 2012. At the time of its opening it was the tallest building in the European Union, and it remains one of the most photographed structures in the capital. This photography print was taken from a position on the riverbank where a foreground architectural element on the near side of the Thames creates a natural counterpoint to the Shard's silhouette on the opposite bank — the two shapes working together across the width of the river to give the composition a sense of depth and balance.
