Ynys Llanddwyn is a tidal island on the south-west coast of Anglesey in North Wales, accessible on foot across the sands of Newborough Beach at low tide and cut off by the sea when the tide comes in. The island is a nature reserve and one of the most visited locations on Anglesey, its combination of rocky coastline, sandy beaches, ruined chapel and lighthouse making it a distinctive and photogenic stretch of the Welsh coast. Twr Mawr — the larger of the two lighthouses on the island — stands at the western tip of Llanddwyn, its white tower visible across Caernarfon Bay.
