Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, located near the village of West Lulworth on the South West Coast Path, and is one of the most recognisable and most photographed coastal landmarks in England. The arch was formed by the sea gradually eroding the softer rock on either side of a harder limestone band, leaving the distinctive curved structure standing in the water at the base of the cliff. This photography print was captured at sunset, when the low light picks out the texture of the wild grass growing along the clifftop and casts a warm tone across the limestone face of the arch and the surrounding headland. The image works well as wall art across a range of sizes, from smaller prints to larger statement pieces where the detail of the cliff textures and the quality of the sunset light become fully apparent.
